This is a handmade, brand new, never used bird perch with a wooden tray instead of the "mess-catcher" made of material that doesn't catch the messes! It is designed for a parrot the size of an Eclectus, Amazon or African Grey. The perch is made completely from Manzanita and the tray is oak paneling with pine trim and is designed to hang from the ceiling (CEILING HOOKS INCLUDED). It was made by "bird people" who know about bird safety. The branches range from 1/4" to 1 1/4" across. The cable that holds the perch to the ceiling is rated to hold 96 pounds, each length of chain is rated to hold over 30 pounds and the entire perch weighs 17 pounds. My bird lives on one of these in my living room (I included the last picture to show how much room there is and how many toys you can still give them).
So, here are some dimentions:
Ceiling to bottom of tray: 44"
Top section of cable left bare to keep your bird from making it to the ceiling: 10"
Tray is 33" long by 24" wide by 1 3/4" deep (2 1/2" if you measure the outside)
The perch at it's widest point is 32" and there is plenty of room so that your bird won't mess on the floor from the perch
Tray is 12" from the perch at the lowest point
Bowls are stainless steel, 10 oz. and secured safely on strong branches
Total weight is 17 lbs.
All of the wood is untreated to avoid any toxicity for your bird. We reccommend that you use commercial walnut shell or corn cob for litter in the tray which makes it a breeze to clean with just a litter scoop.
This perch comes ready to hang and use. Included are the 2 stainless steel cups for food and water and 2 ceiling hooks. Just pull it out of the box, drill 2 holes and hang it.
This is for the brand new perch shown in pics 1 - 7 and has never been used. The last pic is to show how much space an Eclectus has on one approximately the same size.
